Refund Policy

 

Overview & Eligibility Our return policy is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Standard returns or exchanges are only accepted within this 30-day window. To qualify for a return, your item must be unused, in its original condition, and kept in its original packaging.

 

Exceptions & Non-Refundable Items

 

·        Sale Items: Only full-priced products are eligible for a refund; sale items are final sale.

·        Damaged or Altered Goods: Items that are damaged, missing parts, or not in their original condition due to customer error are non-refundable.

·        Partial Refunds: Partial refunds may be issued at our discretion for items returned after the 30-day delivery window or those not returned in original condition.

 

The Return & Refund Process



1    Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

 

2.     Inspection: Upon receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

 

3.     Processing: If approved, your refund will be issued automatically to your original payment method within a few business days.

 

Exchanges We only replace items if they arrive defective or damaged. To exchange a damaged item for the same product, email us at sales@mottleatherworks.com for return instructions.

 

Shipping & Costs



·        Customers are responsible for covering their own return shipping fees.

 

·        Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from your total refund.

 

·        Delivery times for exchanged items vary based on your location.

 

·        For high-value items, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee delivery of returned goods.

 

Missing or Delayed Refunds

If your refund has been approved but has not appeared in your account:

Mott’s journey began under the vast skies of Botswana, where he spent years as a guide in the bush, learning the rhythms of the land and the stories it held. Those same lessons now shape his work at the leather bench, where patience, respect, and a deep connection to place are stitched into every piece. What started as a life of guiding travelers through the wild has become a craft that carries the spirit of Botswana forward — durable, timeless, and grounded in tradition.

In starting Mott’s Leather Works, the vision was simple: to take the lessons of the bush — resourcefulness, respect for the land, and attention to detail — and carry them into a new form of craft. Every belt, bag, and wallet is designed not only to endure but to tell a story, shaped by the traditions and textures of Botswana itself. What once was guiding footsteps along wild paths has become guiding hands through leather, crafting pieces that honor both heritage and the future.

For Mott, this work is personal. Guiding taught him to see the small details - a track in the sand, a shift in the wind - and that same eye now shapes the way he cuts and stitches leather. The pieces he makes aren’t about fashion or trends; they’re about carrying forward the lessons of the bush: patience, resilience, and respect for what lasts. Every bag, belt, or wallet is part of his own story, rooted in Botswana and crafted by his hands.
